Section

On the Section tab all sections of the selected well are listed. Sections displayed in the tree depend on its parent sections with statuses. To display section information click on the section name. In the right part all information on the selected section will appear: Section name, parent section, section start date, section end date, tie-in points, section end depth, and well plan of the currently selected section.

To create a new section click on the Start new section button and fill in the new section parameters:

• section name;

• parent section;

• section start date;

• tie-in point value;

• and select the well plan.

After entering all parameters for the new section, click on Save button.

Note: to start a new section, a currently active section should be released.

Section parameters can be edited.

The section can be deleted by clicking on Delete button.

Geomagnetics

In the Geomagnetics block, magnetic parameters for navigation during drilling process can be filled:

• Azimuth Reference System - one of three azimuth reference types (Magnetic North, True North and Grid North);

• Grid Convergence (deg) - an angle between True North and Grid North;

• Target Plane - East and North values in meters and Vertical section Angle in degrees;

• Gravity - Relative Gravity Field strength value;

• Magnetic field - Magnetic field strength (Wb/m2), Magnetic field strength Uncertainty (Wb/m2), Dip angle (deg), Dip angle uncertainty (deg), Declination (deg);

• QC Tolerances - Accepted tolerances in GTotal (Wb/m2), Accepted tolerances in BTotal (Wb/m2), Accepted tolerances in Dip angle (deg), and Survey Calculation method.

When the necessary data is entered press the Save button. All entered to the block data can be cleared by clicking on the Delete button.
